AUSTIN (KXAN) — The 17th annual Bat Fest in downtown Austin begins at 4 p.m. Saturday, according to event organizers.The venue for the event is the Ann W. Richards Congress Avenue Bridge and the Austin American Statesman parking lot.Regular GA advance admission is $35, and VIP tickets are being sold for $300. An aerospace and defense engineering company has chosen to expand its operations in Colorado Springs and is expected to create 620 new jobs.Boecore plans to build a large sensitive compartmented information facility, or SCIF, an ultra-secure building where officials and government contractors can review highly classified information.The Colorado Economic Development Commission approved up to $7.49 million in performance-based tax credits over eight years.
