ST. LOUIS - A 7-year-old boy was shot Sunday in the Central West End neighborhood. The shooting happened around 4 p.m. in the 4200 block of Maryland Avenue, according to a police report from the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. Investigators reported the victim to be "conscious and breathing," but have not yet disclosed the extent of his injuries. No suspect information is available at this time. This is a developing story. A teenage driver died Sunday after crashing through several fences and yards, eventually hitting the side of a house in Lakewood, police said.Just after midnight Sunday morning, officers responded to reports of a crash in the area of South Jellison Court and West Kentucky Drive, according to a news release from the Lakewood Police Department.When officers arrived, they found the 17-year-old driver dead on the scene, the release stated.No one was home at the time of the crash, and investigators do not believe anyone else was inside the vehicle. Police are investigating security footage that may provide information on the suspect or suspects responsible for the ambush murder of Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer. Deputy Clinkunbroomer was found unconscious and suffering from gunshot wounds in his squad car near the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station at the intersection of Sierra Highway and Avenue Q around 6 p.m. Saturday by a civilian who noticed his car sitting in the street. (KRON) -- A traditional Polynesian voyaging canoe has made its way into the Bay Area. On Friday night, the legendary Hokule'a Canoe docked in Sausalito.The double-hulled canoe is well known for reviving the lost art of Polynesian voyaging and navigation. The Hokule'a is currently on a four-year circumnavigation voyage of the Pacific Ocean that started in Alaska. (KRON) -- The Oakland Police Department is investigating a shooting of two victims on Sunday. The shooting occurred in the 900 block of 63rd Street around 12:00 a.m. According to Oakland police, ShotSpotter activation alerted officers to the area, where they located a victim who sustained a gunshot wound. The victim was taken to an area hospital by paramedic personnel. The victim is in stable condition. Oakland mother killed after being struck by stray bullet while asleep The second victim who also sustained at least one gunshot wound arrived at an area hospital and is listed in stable condition, police say.
