QUEENSBURY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- It was a back-and-forth battle, but Burnt Hills captured the Class B Section title 4-3 over South Glens Falls. After trading goals in the first period, the Spartans found another gear and scored off the stick of Lily Mastrella giving them a 2-1 advantage. Later on, Addisyn Knapik saw an opportunity she couldn't refuse and struck with a goal of her own. Burnt Hills held a 3-1 lead at halftime. When the second came around South Glens Falls fought back, Mia Benincasa helped trim the Spartan's lead to one after scoring a goal. Burnt Hills wasn't phased and responded with another goal from Knapik. Despite that, the Bulldogs called upon Lillian Willis and she answered the call, cutting the Spartan's lead to one. Both teams started slow, but the Dutchmen managed to catch fire in the second period. Skylar Vanwormer tallied the first goal to put Guilderland on the board first. However, that was not the last time we would hear from her during the game. Before halftime, Vanwormer scored another goal, extending the Dutchmen's lead to 2-0. Saratoga would score late in the second half, but couldn't get past Guilderland's defense to score again. Anaheim police said they fatally shot a 20-year-old woman at a bus stop as she held what turned out to be a BB gun or pellet gun on Sunday morning, Oct. 29.Anaheim police in a late-night news release on Facebook identified the woman as Abigail Lopez of Anaheim.The shooting occurred around 9 a.m. on Anaheim Boulevard, South of Ball Road, said Sgt.
