Tereza Vanisova scored in overtime to give the Toronto Six their first Isobel Cup title with a 4-3 win over the Minnesota Whitecaps.The goal capped a thrilling final that was the first to feature two expansion franchises in the eighth PHF season. It marked Toronto’s first championship in its third season. WEST READING, Pa. (AP) — All seven bodies have been recovered from the site of a powerful explosion at a chocolate factory in a small town in eastern Pennsylvania.West Reading Mayor Samantha Kaag said in a statement Sunday night that none of the victims will be named until officials are certain that all families have been contacted. “Please understand that this is a devastating loss, but we are truly grateful to bring closure to the families involved in the upcoming days,” Kaag said.Earlier Kaag confirmed to the Associated Press that the fifth body was found Sunday morning by first responders and confirmed dead by the Berks County Coroner’s Office. Toronto police have arrested one man and one other suspect is outstanding after an assault at Lamport Stadium.Police reported that at approximately 1:49 a.m. on Mar. 19 an amateur soccer match took place where a fight broke out between the players.One male was assaulted and was transported to hospital for his injuries.22-year-old Sami Ramon Medina Sanchez of Toronto was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm.The outstanding suspect is described as a 5”7″ to 5”10″ man who is 20 to 25 years-old, with a slim build, short black hair and short black facial hair.The suspect was wearing a green and white jersey, black leggings, black shorts and grey shoes with orange shoelaces.Whitecaps come up just short in quest for another Isobel Cup

After shocking the Premier Hockey Federation world last weekend with a major upset, the Minnesota Whitecaps couldn’t quite finish the job in the Isobel Cup Final on Sunday night.The Whitecaps suffered a heartbreaking 4-3 overtime loss to the Toronto Six at Mullet Arena in Tempe, Ariz. A passenger on a Delta Airlines flight headed to Seattle from Los Angeles International Airport was detained by police after allegedly opening the emergency as the plane prepped for takeoff Saturday.As the aircraft pushed away from the gate at around 10 a.m., the unidentified passenger opened the exit door, causing the emergency slide to deploy, Capt. Karla Rodriguez of the Los Angeles Airport Police told KTLA in a statement. "Airport Police responded and detained the passenger for further investigation. Due to the circumstances, FBI has been notified," Rodriguez added. Video posted to Twitter showed the unidentified passenger in handcuffs outside the plane as he was being detained by police. SAN JOSE — A bicyclist died after a hit-and-run collision at an intersection Sunday night, authorities said.The collision was reported just before 6:50 p.m. near Blossom Hill Road and Leigh Avenue, according to a San Jose Police Department social-media post.Police and San Jose Fire Department firefighters responded to the scene and found a woman suffering from injuries. Despite life-saving measures, she was pronounced dead at the scene.Additional details about the collision, including a description of the vehicle, were not immediately available Sunday night.In 2021, the city recorded 60 traffic fatalities, matching a two-decade peak also reached in 2019 and 2015.
