BUDAPEST, Hungary (AP) — A collision involving a cart carrying Noah Lyles and his opponents in the 200-meter semifinals at world championships Thursday sent glass shards flying into the right eye of Jamaica’s Andrew Hudson, forcing him to race with blurred vision. An aerial video taken outside the stadium shows the cart carrying the athletes cruising down a sidewalk to bring the athletes to the warm-up room near the track. An oncoming cart hits the athletes’ cart and a volunteer tumbles out of the first cart. The video then shifts to inside the cart where Hudson is pressing his fingers against his right eye. He was cleared to compete, but after finishing fifth, said he couldn’t really see. “I can’t see out of my right eye, but I’m OK,” Hudson said after the race. “The doctor flushed out some shards of glass.”He said he was heading back to the medical room to make sure there wasn’t any further damage. HOUSTON (AP) — During a trial Thursday on the fate of a key portion of President Joe Biden’s immigration policy that allows a limited number of people from Central America and the Caribbean to enter the U.S. on humanitarian grounds, an American sponsoring one of the migrants in the program praised its economic benefits and credited it as a way to reciprocate kindness to a friend in need.Under the humanitarian parole program, up to 30,000 people are being allowed each month to enter the U.S. from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua and Venezuela. Texas is leading a lawsuit filed by 21 Republican-leaning states to stop the program, arguing the Biden administration has overreached its authority. The federal government and immigrant rights groups are defending the program, saying it’s been successful at reducing migration and a humanitarian crisis on the southwest border and has provided a safe pathway to the U.S. for desperate migrants who would otherwise be paying human smugglers and bogging down ...MATCHDAY: Chelsea hosts Luton in Premier League and Real Madrid goes for 3rd straight win at Celta

DENVER (KDVR) — Denver is lagging behind the national average when it comes to newly built homes on the housing market. According to a Redfin report, a record share of the U.S. housing market is comprised of newly built homes responding to a surge in demand in the early 2020s. These homes are the only thing keeping the market above water. Colorado households have some of the nation’s highest debt "Newly built homes made up nearly one-third (31.4%) of U.S. single-family homes on the market in the second quarter," reads the report. "That’s the highest share of any second quarter on record, with new construction keeping the housing market afloat amid the severe shortage of existing homes for sale."In Denver, though, only 19.1% of homes on the market are new builds. This isn't the lowest share, but it still lags behind the national average of 31.4%.In contrast, other cities have as much as half their housing markets comprised of newly built homes.
