An anti-aging drug for dogs is in the works: Here's what we know (NewsNation) — In a significant step toward potentially extending the lifespan of large- and giant-breed dogs, a San Francisco-based company, Loyal, received conditional approval from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its drug called LOY-001. The drug, designed to address the shorter lifespans of larger breeds, is anticipated to hit the market as early as 2026, pending FDA approval of Loyal's manufacturing and safety data.  “Loyal was founded with the ambitious goal of developing the first drugs to extend healthy lifespan in dogs,” said Loyal CEO Celine Halioua. “This milestone is the result of years of careful work by the team. A bit colder Monday after an early morning cold front AUSTIN (KXAN) -- Warmer winds from the southwest helped push temperatures into the lower and middle 70s Sunday, even with plenty of high clouds around.Those clouds will continue to shift eastward as we head through this evening.Early Monday morning a dry cold front drops through Central Texas bringing a cooler wind shift and knocking temperatures down a little bit.Overnight lows drop into the mid 40s under a mostly clear sky.We'll have abundant sunshine on Monday with highs in the upper 60s making for a very pleasant afternoon.Expected highs on MondayTemperatures warm back closer to 70º beginning Tuesday and Austin may stay in the 70s the rest of the work week and into next weekend.Highs the next few daysRain chances aren't very high next weekend, but we'll have 20% chances for both days. Motorist killed in St. Paul crash, 2 injured following brief State Patrol pursuit on I-94 A female motorist was killed and two others in her vehicle were injured early Sunday following a brief chase on Interstate 94, the State Patrol said.A trooper saw the vehicle moving rapidly on eastbound I-94 near Hamline Avenue just before 2 a.m. An attempt to halt the vehicle with emergency lights and sirens near Dale Street failed, according to an incident report.The trooper aborted the pursuit as the driver attempted to exit at Marion Street. The vehicle careened through an intersection and slammed into a concrete wall, the report said.The driver was killed.Two passengers were taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul.
