Human remains found in SE Minn.; father of Madeline Kingsbury’s children arrested WINONA, Minn. — Adam Taylor Fravel, 29, of Winona, has been arrested with the suspicion of second-degree murder in Winona County.Fravel, the father of Madeline Kingsbury’s children, was placed in custody at 7:12 p.m. Wednesday, June 7. The body, which has not yet been positively identified, “was found in some brush off Highway 43 and was located using information generated during the Madeline Kingsbury investigation.”“Because of this, law enforcement personnel have arrested Adam Fravel on probable cause in connection to her disappearance,” the post said.Numerous law enforcement agencies, including the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension and the Southern Minnesota Regional Medical Examiner’s Office, are working to identify the remains.“...

Schulze Lake to reopen Friday following suspected norovirus outbreak Eagan’s Schulze Lake will reopen Friday, June 9 after being closed for a week following more than 60 reports of illness from lake users.The lake, which is located at Lebanon Hills Regional Park, closed June 2 after beach goers reported illnesses consistent with the norovirus infection, according to a news release from Dakota County.Symptoms of norovirus typically begin 12 to 24 hours after ingestion of the virus and can include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or stomach cramps.The reopening follows guidance from the Minnesota Department of Health, according to the county. Spanish Lake man convicted for beating neighbor to death CLAYTON, Mo. – A St. Louis County jury convicted a Spanish Lake man on Wednesday for beating his neighbor to death in 2019.Michael Shaw was found dead on April 20, 2019, inside his home in the 900 block of Burgos Street. He was 63. Shaw's car, along with cash and credit cards, were missing.Days later, homicide detectives determined Shaw was killed by his neighbor, Keith Hill, and arrested Hill. Revisting Mike Shildt’s comments on his Cardinals departure The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Hill with first-degree murder, first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, and two counts of armed criminal action.At trial, prosecutors said Hill forced his way into Shaw’s home and beat him to death with a lamp, all because Shaw refused to give Hill some money.Jurors convicted Shaw, 36, on all charges. A conviction for first-degree murder carries a mandatory life sentence without the possibility of parole.
