CAIRO (AP) — A drone attack Sunday on an open market south of Sudan’s capital, Khartoum, killed at least 43 people, activists and a medical group said, as the military and a powerful rival paramilitary group battle for control of the country.More than 55 others were wounded in the attack in Khartoum’s May neighborhood, where paramilitary forces battling the military were heavily deployed, the Sudan Doctors’ Union said in a statement. The casualties were taken to Bashair University Hospital.The Resistance Committees, an activist group that helps organize humanitarian assistance, posted footage on social media showing bodies wrapped in white sheets in an open yard at the hospital. APD responded to 'recreational jumper' at Pennybacker Bridge

AUSTIN (KXAN) — According to the Austin Fire Department, water rescue assets assisted the Austin Police Department with an investigation of a recreational jumper off the Pennybacker bridge Sunday afternoon. AFD posted on social media that the person was found safe. 'Seen our share of incidents'The bridge stands 100 feet above Lake Austin. Even at such tall heights, Austin Travis County EMS said people continue to jump off it. "Through the years, we've certainly seen our share of incidents of folks jumping from the bridge and even from the upper structures of the bridge," said ATCEMS Public Information Officer Captain Darren Noak. While rare, Noak said it does happen. The most recent incident was Sunday afternoon. "Today's incident resulted in no injuries and no need for either evaluation or transport," Noak said. Little League World Series-winning El Segundo All-Stars honored with championship parade

It was all cheers at a championship parade on Main Street in El Segundo on Sunday to honor the 12U All-Stars who recently won the Little League World Series. Storefronts and residences all throughout the city were decked out in yellow and blue while signs with phrases like “Let’s go Gundo!” and “Gundo is proud of our boys” have been erected at seemingly every corner. The parade itself began at noon on Imperial Highway and Main Street and continued down Main until El Segundo Boulevard. After the 12 players and their coaches rode through town, the celebration continued at Stevenson Field, their hometown ballpark, where the squad was recognized for their greatest achievements.  “It’s a lot of fun seeing how even people in the MLB are watching us play.
